Physical Descriptors

Humanoid in the broad strokes, but on a second glance, the human form body plan is thrown off by the second pair of arms that sprouted from halfway down the torso. Smaller than the main arms, these ended in long elegant fingers that complimented the more muscular digits of the upper set. The head had the classical feature seen across most species lines: eyes, nose, mouth. But they were all subtly different. The eyes curled up at the corners like a cat, and the nose was a bare surface detail. The mouth is thin, often thought to look stern-looking.

Clee'san the only point source for information on the Morning Star Imperium, has alluded to some form of government-sanctioned eugenic's or genetic modification program.

Key Points

Andrasti are not native to the environs of the Milky Way's orbiting globular cluster. They are transplants from their home galaxy, which was consumed by Clockmaker spores some 15'000 years prior to their First Contact with the United Federation of Planets. The Bootes Void, a galaxy-wide patch of space devoid of all light, was the location of this home galaxy. Their retreat to the Milky Way was complicated by the fact the Clockmakers gave chase, hunting down two of the three Arks that were launched. The third and final Ark implemented a last-ditch attempt to stave off extinction, by having its population escape at sunlight speeds whilst the Ark itself became a trap to entangle the Clockmakers.

This tactic was highly successful, as the Clockmaker swarm that attacked this Ark was held in stalemate for thousands of years until the crew from the USS Traveller disrupted that equilibrium. During this event, the processing core for the Ark's guiding intelligence, the Simulated Consciousness of a dead Morning Star Imperium soldier by the name of Clee'san, was recovered and brought aboard the Traveller.

It later turned out that Clee'san's unique state of being was a perfect counter to the digital predations of The Myriad, and a deal was struck between the Andrasti warrior and the Captian of the Traveller: in exchange for providing them with the upper hand in their deals with the Myriad, they would use their ships mission to hunt for signs that her people successfully made it Messier 4.

A deal that seems to have come to fruition, as evidence leads the Traveller's crew into the heart of Messier 4 in search of the Morning Star Imperium.

During discussions with Science Department anthropologists and ethnologists, Clee'san has alluded to a strict military imperial culture focusing on the good of the many over the few. The cool and detached manner by which she describes the millennia-long battle against the Clockmakers in her home galaxy, and the detonation of her home star to boost the Arks on their way, is a testament to the strength of that conviction.
